Jaipur: With the Meteorological Department issuing a heatwave alert, Kota district Thursday changed school timings for all students from Class 1-12. Schools will operate from 7.30 am to 12.30 pm, effective from Friday until further orders.Piyush Samaria, district collector of Kota, revised the operational hours for classes, which will apply to all govt and private schools across the district.“It must be ensured that arrangements for clean drinking water are made available for students in all govt and non-govt schools. This arrangement applies solely to students; the remaining staff (teaching and non-teaching) shall continue to work according to their regular schedules,” states an order issued by the district collector.Action, in accordance with the rules and under the provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, will be initiated against any school found violating the directive.
