New Delhi: Hearing care provider Hearzap on Monday said it will acquire Amplifon India for an undisclosed sum as part of its expansion across the country.
The agreement for the acquisition has been supported by Hearzap’s investors, 360 ONE Asset Management, one of India’s leading private equity investors, the company said in a statement.
Amplifon India is a part of the global Amplifon group. It has a network of about 240 hearing care points of sale across the country.
As part of the agreement, Hearzap will acquire Amplifon India’s points of sale, a business generating a topline of around Rs 120 crore and supported by nearly 460 service providers, the company said.
Post-acquisition, the combined entity is expected to operate a total of 430 points of sale across India with over 1,000 service providers and a topline exceeding Rs 230 crore, it added.
Commenting on the development, Hearzap Founder S Raja said, “The scale and strength of the combined organisation will allow us to invest more deeply in audiology talent, customer engagement, and innovation, contributing to better healthcare outcomes for years to come.”
As the integration advances, Hearzap said it plans to strengthen its presence across key markets, invest further in innovation and talent, and expand access to quality hearing healthcare in India.
The company is targetting revenues of around Rs 250 crore by the end of the current financial year, with plans to scale to nearly Rs 500 crore by FY29, it added.
Hearzap further said it also expects its network footprint to approach 500 hearing care centres by 2027. PTI
