Hyderabad: Cyberabad police commissioner M Ramesh has suspended a head constable, attached to the Raidurgam police station, for negligence regarding a ‘Dial 100’ road accident complaint. On Aug 1 night, a road accident victim called ‘Dial-100’ seeking police assistance. The complainant said that two cars collided near IKEA at Raidurg, where no one suffered injuries but the vehicles were damaged. He sought police assistance through a ‘Dial 100’ call. After collecting details from senior officers, including the station house officer (SHO), deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Kukatpally Ritiraj informed Cyberabad police commissioner M Ramesh about the incident. The commissioner suspended the head constable on Sunday, stating that “the suspension will remain in effect until the departmental inquiry is concluded”.
