Chennai: Madras high court on Wednesday stayed the trial of a disproportionate assets case against state fisheries minister Anitha R Radhakrishnan pending before a special court in Tuticorin.The first bench of Chief Justice Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari and Justice G Arul Murugan passed the order on a plea moved by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) seeking transfer of the trial to a special court for cases under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in Madurai. On Wednesday, counsel for DVAC, which filed the FIR, sought time to respond to the petition. ED then asked the court to stay proceeding before the court till the transfer application is disposed of. Recording the same, the court passed the interim order and adjourned the hearing to April 30.
