Chennai: Madras high court on Thursday reserved its order on the bail application moved by YouTuber Savukku Shankar in connection with an attempt-to-murder case registered against him while he was imprisoned in Puzhal central prison.Concluding the hearing, vacation judge Justice L Victoria Gowri reserved her order. According to Shankar, an FIR was registered against him and four others on April 8 under Sections 296(b) (uttering obscene words), 125 (indulging in acts endangering the personal safety of others), 132 (using criminal force to deter public servant), 109(1) (attempt to murder), and 351(3) (criminal intimidation) of BNS.According to prosecution, Shankar was arrested in another case in Andhra Pradesh and was brought to Chennai by road on April 8. The police vehicle was stopped near Kavankarai in Puzhal for a break. While so, K Malathi, S Gopinath, Praveen and Raju picked up a quarrel with police, abused them, and began pelting stones at them.
