Hazaribag: Muffasil police in Hazaribag arrested the main accused in a house theft case on Thursday and recovered stolen gold and silver jewellery worth lakhs. The theft took place at the locked residence of one Jinnat Parveen in Sakhiya village on Sept 15. Sadar SDPO Rupak Kumar said, “Police identified the accused, Jafar Ansari (31), after analysing CCTV footage from the area. A team laid a trap and arrested him. Following interrogation, police made the recoveries including 29 grams of gold and 450 grams of silver concealed in bushes.” Police are looking for one more accused, Md Firoz Ansari alias Sonu, who is currently absconding.
