Hazaribag: A 24-year-old man was killed, and another man was injured when two motorcycles collided head-on with each other on NH 33 under Ichak police station limits of the district on Friday.The deceased Rajendra Yadav, a resident of Hudhudu mohalla in Hazaribag, was travelling on the wrong side of NH-33 when his bike hit veterinarian Raju Kumar Mehta’s two-wheeler near Bonga Shiv temple around 3 pm. The impact of the collision flung Rajendra onto the middle of the road, and a speeding car from the opposite direction ran him over. Rajendra, who was headed to Hazaribag, was taken to Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College and Hospital where he was declared brought dead.“Traffic was halted on NH 3 briefly due to the incident. Rajendra’s body was handed over to his relatives after postmortem examination,” Gautam Kumar, the officer-in-charge of Ichak police station, said. Police suspected Rajendra was driving under the influence of alcohol.
