Hazaribag: Acting on the directions of the Jharkhand high court, Sadar police in Hazaribag have registered an FIR against a circle officer (CO), circle inspector (CI), revenue staff, a computer operator and six others in connection with an alleged multicrore land fraud case.The FIR was lodged on the complaint of Nagwan resident Fiyaz Ahmad against CO Anil Kumar, CI Virendra Kumar, revenue employee Seema Kumari Singh, computer operator Sandeep Kumar and six others identified as Hira Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Sabra Khatoon, Salma Khatoon, Mukesh Kumar and Uday Kumar.According to the complaint, 26 decimals of land under Khata No. 136 and Plot Nos. 824 and 825 in Nagwan are recorded in Register-II in the name of Mohammad Kalimullah. Fiyaz claimed that he legally purchased the property from Kalimullah’s son, Mohammad Ekram, and already constructed a boundary wall on the land.He alleged that the accused entered into a criminal conspiracy to usurp the land, valued at several crores of rupees, by preparing forged sale deeds and manipulating official records. The complaint stated that Hira Kumar allegedly obtained a power of attorney from Kalimullah’s relatives, including Salma Khatoon, and used forged documents to transfer the land to Mukesh Kumar and Uday Kumar in Jan this year.Fiyaz further alleged that officials of the circle office, along with the computer operator, tampered with govt records and online land data to facilitate mutation of the property on the basis of forged documents. He also accused the group of attempting to demolish the boundary wall and threatening him with dire consequences if he did not vacate the land.The complainant said he approached Sadar police with a written complaint on Feb 23, but no FIR was registered. He subsequently moved the Jharkhand high court, which on July 10 directed the police to register a case.Sadar police station in-charge Anil Oraon said, “An FIR has been registered and investigation is under way.”

The complainant alleged that the accused entered into a criminal conspiracy to usurp the land, valued at several crores of rupees, by preparing forged sale deeds and manipulating official records
