Halle Berry has made headlines recently after her ex, Olivier Martinez, accused her of abusing their 13-year-old son. Ahead of the custody hearing in court, the actress was spotted out and about on a rare outing with her fiancé, Van Hunt.

While awaiting the custody hearing for her 13-year-old son, Halle Berry stepped out with her fiancé, Van Hunt. PEOPLE reported that the 60-year-old actress wore her casual best, sporting a black tee with yellow cargo pants and black sunglasses. Hunt, 56, wore a simple denim jacket with a matching black tee and khakis. The two were photographed while walking through a parking lot.

Earlier this month, Martinez alleged that he and Berry’s son, Maceo, had been abused on multiple occasions and that there were “instances of abuse over the course of the last few years.” He also mentioned in the petition, filed on October 1, that Berry often caused him “emotional and mental distress due to physical abuse of our minor child, Maceo.”In the filing, he also detailed an alleged recent event that occurred on September 26, while the child was staying at her place. He alleged that Berry “grabbed Maceo by the neck and started choking him while shouting, ‘Who is dominant now?! Who is dominant?’” The filing also included alleged texts between the two parents in which Berry mentions that she feels Maceo is acting disrespectfully towards her. He also sent her a text a day after the incident stating, “I feel terrible about what happened last night as I know he does as well.”He also filed for a restraining order, which was granted soon after, barring Berry from coming near him or Maceo until further notice, and only during her visits. The actress has maintained her stance on the matter that she is innocent. In a declaration that Berry filed on October 5, read, “I have never physically, emotionally, or otherwise abused Maceo. I am a victim of domestic violence, and I help victims of domestic violence. I am not a perpetrator of violence. I would never hurt our child.”She now has permission for unsupervised visits with Maceo twice during the week and every other weekend. She has also requested the LA court to restore her status on the case and reconsider the custody agreement from their August 2023 divorce, in which Berry and Martinez shared 50/50 custody.
