Gulmarg, Feb 23: Gulmarg, the mesmerizing winter destination has been captivating ski enthusiasts from across the world with its unparalleled slopes and breathtaking beauty.
According to the officials of the Tourism Department there has been a gradual surge in the number of visitors to Gulmarg since the beginning of this year.
Every year with the onset of the winter season , Gulmarg offers an out of the world experience to adventure seekers as the snow blankets the landscape transforming Gulmarg into nature’s enchanting allure.
The meadows are a haven for thrill seekers who come alive with exhilarating downhill adventures.
According to the officials, the early snowfall this year sparked a surge in skiing and snowboarding activities , attracting local, national and international visitors from around the world.
“The season has been a thrill. It is awesome to see crowds still pouring in. We’re swarmed with ski enthusiasts and tourists . Come one, come all, and enjoy the stunning beauty of Kashmir,” says Tahir Wani, Assistant Director Tourism Gulmarg.
” This year there has been a good response in Skiing due to good snowfall. Not only the upper phases ,but the main Gulmarg also witnessed enough snow accumulation since the beginning of this year,” Assistant Director added
Drawn by its world-class slopes and majestic landscape, Gulmarg provides a breathtaking experience to all those navigating its slopes.
Talking to Rising Kashmir, Fayaz Ahmad, who runs a Ski School Club, revealed, “In the month of January the activities witnessed a surge owing to huge snow accumulation, though the snow is melting now. However it was a good season.”
” At present around 40 skiers are receiving training with our club,” Fayaz added.
Gulmarg Gondola, the highest cable car, propels enthusiasts to towering heights, immersing them in panoramic vistas of snow-donned peaks and mountains.
The officials said that the rush is bolstered by the upcoming Khelo India games, which will draw large crowds and add to the excitement.
Famous for its slopes around the world , Skiers from Finland, Australia, Canada, and other countries flock to Gulmarg for an unmatched ski experience.
“Gulmarg’s altitudes are unmatched and unparalleled,” says Chris, a skier.
Adding, “The slopes are naturally magnificent and thrilling, offering an adrenaline rush like no other.”
Benish, from Hyderabad, discovered skiing in Gulmarg, transforming his life and igniting a passion that has only grown stronger.
