Ahmedabad: Gujarat Vidyapith has announced its admission schedule for the academic year 2026, offering a total of 1,246 seats across multiple programmes. The decision was approved in a meeting of the Academic Council and Executive Council chaired by vice-chancellor Harshad Patel.Admissions will be conducted for eight undergraduate, three postgraduate, 20 postgraduate diploma, one diploma, and PhD programmes across 16 subjects. The online application process will begin on March 22 and will go on until May 8, 2026.Admission committee coordinator, Prof Ajay Parikh, said that candidates except those applying for PhD must qualify either through CUET (UG/PG) or the Gujarat Vidyapith Eligibility and Efficacy Test for Admission (GEETA). The GEETA will be held on May 10 at 28 centres across Gujarat.The test will include 60 questions to be completed in 90 minutes, covering general knowledge, language, reasoning, and Gandhian studies. Counselling will be held on May 12-13, while PhD interviews are scheduled for May 14. The academic session will begin on July 1.
