Gandhinagar: The Gujarat govt said on Friday that it has brought into effect a five-year incentive scheme for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) under its Viksit Gujarat Industrial Policy 2026, offering financial support for capital investment, term loans, electricity, employment generation, technology adoption and market expansion.Effective from June 1, 2026, to May 31, 2031, the scheme allows eligible MSMEs to avail one or more assistance components, subject to prescribed conditions and overall subsidy ceilings.Under the scheme, the combined incentive ceiling is 45% of eligible fixed capital investment (EFCI) in Category A talukas and 35% in Category B talukas. For identified thrust sectors, these ceilings rise to 50% and 45%, respectively. Category A talukas are relatively less industrialised, while Category B talukas are more industrialised.An official statement said women entrepreneurs, registered manufacturing startups and first-generation entrepreneurs will be eligible for an additional 1% interest assistance within the prescribed limits, offering targeted support to new and women-led businesses.Eligible enterprises can receive reimbursement of up to 100% of the employer’s EPF contribution for new employees for five years, subject to employee-wise monthly caps, the statement said. Patent registration will attract assistance of up to 75% of the expenditure, capped at Rs 25 lakh per applicant or enterprise.The thrust sectors identified for enhanced incentives include manufacturing of sports goods, toys, footwear, robots and drones. Eligible units in these sectors can receive full reimbursement of stamp duty and registration charges on land purchases or leases, 100% reimbursement of international certification fees up to Rs 5 crore, and training assistance of up to Rs 8,000 per employee per month for the first 12 months, govt said.
