Ahmedabad: The National Testing Agency (NTA) released advance information regarding the examination cities for students appearing in the upcoming NEET-UG exam, enabling candidates to plan their travel arrangements in time. NEET, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, is scheduled to be held on Sunday, May 3, from 2pm to 5pm in pen-and-paper mode. This year, the exam will be conducted across 552 cities in India and 14 cities abroad, with over 2.6 million candidates registered. Due to the large number of applicants, students may not always be allotted their home city and could be assigned nearby or even distant locations depending on availability. To help candidates prepare in advance, NTA issued the examination city intimation slip. Students can download this slip by logging in with their application number and date of birth. It is important to note that this slip is not the admit card but only provides details about the city where the exam centre will be located. The actual admit cards, which will include the exact exam centre address and other instructions, will be released later. The early announcement of exam cities allows students and their families to make necessary travel and accommodation arrangements, especially in cases where long-distance travel is required. This initiative aims to reduce last-minute stress and ensure a smoother examination experience for lakhs of aspiring medical students across the country.
