Gandhinagar: Chief minister Bhupendra Patel on Saturday inaugurated a new radiation oncology centre at Narayana Hospital in Ahmedabad. An official statement said the centre is equipped with the Halcyon radiation therapy system, a treatment technology known for its speed and accuracy. “This technology will deliver high-precision, image-guided treatment while minimising side effects on healthy tissues around cancerous tumours,” the statement said. According to it, Narayana Hospital now provides all three key oncology services — medical oncology, surgical oncology and radiation oncology — enabling integrated cancer care treatment.
