Gandhinagar: Chief minister Bhupendra Patel welcomed Parliament’s passage of the Public Examinations (Prevention of Malpractices) Bill, 2026, describing it as a historic step towards protecting the future of crores of young people across the country. In a video message, Patel said the law, with provisions for stringent punishment of paper leak rackets, heavy penalties, fast-track courts and technology-driven security measures, will make the examination system more transparent, credible and trustworthy.
