Ahmedabad: Gujarat’s Class 10 results are not just about student scores but also about how schools are performing overall. This year, more schools have delivered perfect results. The count of institutions with weak outcomes has come down. Yet, district-level variations remain visible.A total of 1,697 schools recorded 100% results in 2026, up from 1,574 last year — an increase of 123 schools. Banaskantha led the state with 165 such schools, followed by Rajkot with 130. Kutch and Surat also posted strong numbers, with 112 and 103 schools respectively achieving perfect results.At the other end, the number of schools with 0% results fell from 45 to 39, an improvement of six schools. Schools with less than 30% results also dropped sharply from 201 to 164, a decline of 37 schools, indicating fewer institutions struggling with extremely low pass rates.Ahmedabad city, however, showed a mixed trend. The number of schools with 100% results declined from 36 to 28. At the same time, schools with 0% results improved, reducing from five to three. The number of schools with below 30% results edged up slightly from 18 to 19, the highest such count among districts.In contrast, Ahmedabad rural recorded consistent gains. Schools with 100% results increased from 63 to 66. Those with 0% results dropped from two to one, while schools with below 30% results reduced from nine to four.Dahod reported the highest number of schools with 0% results at five. Overall, the figures suggest steady improvement across Gujarat, with more schools reaching top performance levels and fewer falling into the lowest categories.
