Ahmedabad: The Gujarat State Examination Board (GSEB) has decided to award grace marks for five questions in Paper 2 of the main exam of Assistant Education Inspector Aptitude Test (AEIAT) after releasing the final answer key.The board found that the five questions had more than one correct option. Candidates who selected any of the correct options will be awarded marks. The decision was taken after reviewing the provisional answer key and objections submitted by candidates.The test was conducted for the direct recruitment of assistant education inspector. A total of 25,991 candidates from across Gujarat had registered for the test. The preliminary result was declared on April 7, with 2,768 candidates qualifying after securing the prescribed cut-off marks of 40% for the general category and 35% for reserved categories.The final answer key and the decision to award grace marks are expected to affect the results of 2,768 candidates who appeared for the main exam on June 23.
