Kanpur: Police and a forensic team investigated reports of late-night firing and stone pelting at Negi Guest House after its owner informed authorities, but no cartridge or brick-stone was recovered from the spot.According to the guest house owner, Gajendra Singh Negi, he had returned from Allahabad and reached the guest house after being informed by the security guard that a loud crashing sound had been heard late at night. He subsequently called Dial 112 and informed the police.The police and forensic team examined the spot and found that the guest house’s glass had been broken. However, no evidence of firing or stone pelting was found at the site.Investigators also examined CCTV footage from the surrounding area, but no person was seen firing from the road or carrying out any attack. Police said they were investigating the case from all angles.
