Kanpur: On Thursday, on the directives of the Joint Magistrate and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sadar Anubhav Singh, the administration freed approximately 0.28 hectare of gram sabha land from encroachers in Ishwariganj village and demolished its boundary. In the presence of the revenue team and police force, the illegally constructed cemented wall was demolished.The administration received a complaint that some people had encroached upon gram sabha land bearing Gata number 138 in Ishwariganj and have erected a permanent boundary wall. SDM Sadar Anubhav Singh directed the revenue team to investigate the matter. After investigation confirmed the complaint, directives were issued to free the land. Following the directions, the revenue department team reached the village along with the police force and demolished the illegally constructed wall using a JCB.Joint Magistrate/SDM Sadar Anubhav Singh said that illegal encroachment on gram sabha land will not be tolerated under any circumstances. The land was secured as per gram sabha records, and monitoring will also be ensured to prevent re-encroachment in the future.
