Patna: The revenue and land reforms department has initiated disciplinary action against 12 more revenue officials and circle officers (COs) on charges of corruption and dereliction of duty, department minister Dilip Kumar Jaiswal said on Wednesday.Jaiswal said action has been taken against 82 officers and employees over the past two months. The cases involve alleged irregularities in land mutation, corruption, negligence in official duties, indiscipline and non-compliance with departmental directives.Charges have been framed against Arvind Kumar (revenue officer-cum-kanungo, Munger), Deepak Kumar (CO, Raghopur in Vaishali) and Vandana Kumari (then CO, Bisfi in Madhubani). Penalties, including withholding of salary increments, have been imposed on Rajat Kumar Barnwal (CO, Gopalganj Sadar), Amlesh Kumar (CO, Ekma in Saran), Vishwajeet Nilankar (then CO, Goh in Aurangabad), Anshu Kumar Singh (then CO, Aurangabad) and Rajan Kumar (then CO, Kalyanpur in Samastipur).Departmental proceedings have also been initiated against Uday Shankar Mishra (then CO, Ramnagar in West Champaran), Ranbhu Thakur (then CO, Kurhani in Muzaffarpur), Anjali Kumari (then CO, Hajipur in Vaishali) and Sudhir Kumar Onkara (then CO, Sasaram).Emphasising the department’s focus on timely and transparent revenue services, Jaiswal said strict action would be taken against any officer or employee whose conduct causes inconvenience to the public or hampers official work.
