Srinagar Jun 29: Government Polytechnic for Women, Srinagar has commenced a 5-day Advance Training of Trainers (TOTs) programme in Tailoring Trade under PM Vishwakarma, under the tagline “Skill Development for Nation Building.”
The programme aims to strengthen skill development initiatives and enhancing the capacity of prospective trainers from across the Kashmir Division. The PM Vishwakarma scheme supports training, technology, credit, and market linkages for traditional artisans and craftspeople.
A total of 28 prospective trainers from different institutions across the Kashmir Division will undergo advanced training in the Tailoring Trade during the programme. The training is designed to equip participants with improved technical knowledge and contemporary training methods so that they can further contribute to skill development in their respective institutions and communities.
The training will be imparted by Uma Sharma, Master Trainer for TOT in Tailor Trade (Advanced Training) under PM Vishwakarma. Her expertise is expected to provide the participants with practical insights and advanced competencies in tailoring, trainer development, and trade-based skill enhancement.
