Srinagar, Mar 02: The Jammu and Kashmir government has directed all departments, public sector undertakings (PSUs), autonomous bodies and government institutions to operate their official accounts only with Jammu and Kashmir Bank.
In a circular issued by the Finance Department, the government said it has come to its notice that, despite standing instructions issued on January 23, 2020, some government officials and institutions have opened official accounts in banks other than J&K Bank.
The circular, issued by Financial Commissioner, Finance Department, Shailendra Kumar, stated that no Government Department, Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO), Autonomous Body, Corporation, Board or any Government Institution shall open or operate any Government account in any bank other than Jammu and Kashmir Bank.
