Patna: Revenue and land reforms minister DilipKumarJaiswal on Wednesday approved chargesheets and disciplinary action against nine officials and employees accused of corruption, negligence and procedural irregularities in land administration.The action relates to alleged irregularities in land mutation, fraudulent creation of jamabandis on govt land, unauthorised use of digital dongles and financial misconduct. The department said it would continue to take a tough stance against corruption and negligence, particularly in matters affecting the public.Two separate disciplinary proceedings were approved against retired official AmodKumar. In one case, 10% of his pension will be withheld for five years for an allegedly erroneous recommendation in a mutation matter. In another, 15% of his pension will be deducted for five years over a recommendation based on an incorrect family list.Departmental proceedings have also been initiated against ChandanKumar for alleged irregularities in the digitisation of offline jamabandis, while PiyushMishra faces charges linked to alleged unauthorised withdrawals from the Belchi circle office account.The minister further approved legal action against ArunKumarSaxena for allegedly creating raiyati jamabandi for Gairmazarua Khas govt land. A chargesheet has also been prepared against ManiKumarVerma over the alleged unauthorised use of a digital dongle in mutation cases.Officials said the move underscores the department’s resolve to ensure accountability and transparency in land and revenue administration.
