Gandhinagar: The state govt received three complaints from ministers or MLAs regarding officials allegedly not following protocol, the govt informed the state assembly on Friday.Congress MLA Amit Chavda sought details about govt notifications governing the conduct of officials with respect to MPs, MLAs and other public representatives. He also asked for information on complaints of protocol breaches by officials in the past year and the action taken on them.In a written reply, the govt stated that in 2025 it received three complaints — from Congress MLA Tushar Chaudhary on May 6, BJP MLA Pradyuman Vaja on May 13, and former minister Kunvarji Halpati on Aug 4. The govt said the officials concerned were instructed to strictly adhere to notifications issued regarding protocol.Chaudhary complained that despite being the local MLA of Khedbrahma constituency, his name was not included in the e-invitation for the inauguration of a new farmer training centre building, and he was not given an opportunity to address the gathering.Vaja stated that he was not given prior notice of a programme to inaugurate various development works in Gir Somnath district.Halpati complained that the Bharuch district collector did not consult him regarding a foundation stone-laying programme in Bharuch district, despite him being the minister in charge of the district.
