Hyderabad: Telangana Congress working president T Jayaprakash Jagga Reddy criticised BRS leaders T Harish Rao and KT Rama Rao over their rhetoric on the Kaleshwaram project, and asserted that chief minister Revanth Reddy and irrigation minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy have already made it clear that they are ready implement whatever recommendations are made by the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA).He said the state govt is committed to acting on the expert body’s findings in the interest of farmers and the public. Jagga Reddy demanded that former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Harish Rao apologise to the people for the alleged collapse of the Kaleshwaram project and the expenditure of nearly ₹1 lakh crore of public funds. He alleged that the BRS leadership was responsible for the present situation and should seek public forgiveness before criticising the Congress govt.Targeting BJP MP Eatala Rajender, Jagga Reddy claimed that, as Eatala had served as the finance minister in the previous BRS govt, he was now trying to shield the BRS leadership in the alleged Kaleshwaram scam. Jagga Reddy sought to advise Eatala to persuade KCR and Harish Rao to approach the Centre if they genuinely wished to protect farmers’ interests.
