Vadodara: A 69-year-old man from Gorwa area died at Kedarnath on Wednesday morning, reportedly after suffering a heart attack during the pilgrimage.The deceased, Dilip Mali, had travelled to Kedarnath with his wife and son Hemant, who runs a travel agency in Vadodara that organises pilgrimage tours to Kedarnath, Amarnath and the Char Dham circuit.Family sources said Hemant frequently escorts groups of pilgrims to Kedarnath through his agency and had taken his parents along for the pilgrimage this year. Mali is believed to have suffered a heart attack at around 7.30am in Kedarnath.In a video circulating on social media, Hemant is seen saying he was trying to arrange a helicopter to transport his father’s body but was facing difficulties. According to him, the district administration advised him to contact the DGCA for the arrangement.The body was later brought back to the city, and the cremation was held on Thursday evening, a relative said.
