Lucknow: A woman journalist was allegedly targeted by SUV-borne miscreants who attempted to run her over in the parking premises of a hospital located in the Sushant Golf City police station area on Sunday.According to reports, the journalist had gone to visit an acquaintance at the hospital when a group of men in a car misbehaved with her as she exited the building. When she objected to their behaviour, one of the accused allegedly attempted to run her over with the vehicle. The entire incident was reportedly captured on the hospital’s CCTV cameras. She said she filed a written complaint with the Sushant Golf City police and also submitted the CCTV footage as evidence. However, she claimed that no action was taken by SHO Upendra Singh. It was only after Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav raised the issue during a press conference that a case was registered.DCP South Zone, Nipun Agarwal, confirmed that an FIR has been registered and efforts are underway to trace the accused.
