Lucknow: Two bike-borne miscreants on Saturday attempted to snatch the gold chain of the wife of additional private secretary Bijan Kumar Singh in the Krishnanagar police station area and fled with a part of it. A case has been registered, and police are scanning CCTV footage from the area.According to police reports, the miscreants, riding a black motorcycle, targeted Bijan Kumar Singh’s wife, Suruchi, near Putti Lal Atta Chakki. They tried to snatch her gold chain, and during the struggle, as she resisted, the chain broke. The assailants managed to flee with a portion of it. The rider was reportedly wearing a white T-shirt, while his pillion accomplice wore an orange shirt.“We have formed a team of five men, and the accused will be nabbed soon,” said Krishnanagar ACP Vikas Pandey. tnn
