Kanpur: A local troublemaker killed the father of a teenage girl he was harassing for a long time by repeatedly hitting him with an iron cooking pan. The attack occurred when the man’s wife was attending to household chores and their daughter was at her married sister’s place. The man was paralysed.Police arrived at the scene and filed a report against four—including the accused, his mother, and his sister—and began an investigation.The deceased’s wife told police that she lived in a rented house with her 65-year-old ailing husband and 15-year-old daughter. Her elder daughter is already married.On the first floor of the same house, the accused lived with his mother, brother, and sister. The accused was harassing her minor daughter for past three years, said the woman. On Saturday also, accused had assaulted her ailing husband. When she went to file police complaint, the police allegedly as her to come afterwards. When she returned in the evening, she found her husband unconscious and took him to hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.Police station in-charge Manvendra Singh stated that a case has been registered against four people on the victim’s complaint.
