Google’s Veo 3 was introduced at the I/O 2025 in May
Google Veo 3 AI model to generate videos with audio is now coming to the Indian market bundled with the Gemini AI Pro plan for users. Veo 3 was introduced at the I/O 2025 in May this year and started its release with the US market initially and now people in many regions are able to access the AI tool to create life-life videos with audio.
Gemini AI Pro users in India can access Veo 3 along with other features through the Gemini app on mobile, or the web version on the desktop.
Veo 3 AI Model Releases In India With Gemini AI Pro Plan
The Gemini AI Pro plan is the rebranded version of Google’s Gemini Advanced subscription offering. Gemini AI Pro in India costs Rs 1,950 per month, and competes with ChatGPT Plus from OpenAI that is available for Rs 1,900 per month in the country. Google is even letting people access the Gemini AI Pro plan at Re 0 for one month before activating the paid version with full payment.
“Today, we’re starting to roll out Veo 3 to every country where the Gemini App is available, including India, through the Google AI Pro subscription. Veo 3 lets you create 8-second videos, inclusive of sound. You can generate content featuring characters with synthesized speech, scenes enhanced with background music and sound effects for increased realism,” Google said in a post.
It is clear that Google is pitching the new addition as another reason for people in India to consider taking its Gemini AI plan rather than ChatGPT. So what does the Gemini AI Pro offer for its monthly subscription fee? Here’s the list:
- 2TB cloud storage for Photos, Drive and Gmail linked to your Google account
- AI film making app Flow
- NotebookLM Plus
- Gemini Assistant work across Google apps like Docs, Gmail and Sheet
- Veo 3 access to generate 10 videos with native audio support
Google’s new Veo 3 AI model generates videos with ambient audio and background music. It is the upgraded successor to the Veo 2 model that has been around since last year. The latest version adds native audio which was not available earlier and more importantly, you can now create longer (8-second) videos using the video generation tool.
People have been astonished with the quality of videos generated by Veo 3 and the audio sync offered. But all this became obvious when a recent report claimed that Google has used video dataset from YouTube to train the Veo 3 AI model. The report by CNBC has claimed that YouTube videos are helping Google train its Veo 3 video AI model and it is being used with over 20 billion videos that the platform hosts from across users and creators.
