Dumka: Godda police busted an interstate drug racket, arresting Pankaj Mandal of Kathaun, Suraj Chalak of Sarouni bazaar, both under Godda Muffasil police station, and Kunal Kumar of Padwa Rampur under Bounsi police station in Bihar’s Banka district.SP Mukesh Kumar said on Tuesday that Town Police, led by SDPO Akash Bhardwaj, conducted Monday’s raid in the Town police station area after specific inputs during an anti-narcotics drive. The suspects allegedly tried to flee but were caught.Police seized around 50 grams of brown sugar (heroin), worth about Rs 5 lakh, and two two-wheelers. An FIR was registered under the NDPS Act, and the accused were sent to judicial custody. “Godda police is implementing a zero-tolerance policy against narcotic drugs. No trafficker or criminal network involved in destroying the future of our youth will be spared,” SP Kumar said. He sought confidential tip-offs.
