Following the death of a boy in a stray dog attack in Medak district, the Telangana Lokayukta has taken suo moto action. Justice A Rajashekher Reddy directed district officials to submit a detailed report on the incident, which also injured over 20 locals.

Porvorim: Chief minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday acknowledged that the population of stray cattle and stray dogs has become a serious challenge affecting locals as well as tourists. Sawant assured legislators that the govt is working on a solution.“This year we will give our 100% to resolve this problem. We will bring in new schemes to make the department capable and competent to address this problem,” said Sawant in his reply to the discussion on the state budget.On Monday, on the first day of the monsoon session of the state legislative assembly, BJP lawmakers urged Sawant to take the issue seriously. Legislators from the treasury benches said that the stray menace has residents worried about stepping out of their homes.
