PANAJI: Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant on Friday denied that he underwent an “angioplasty procedure” at Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune.“I did not undergo any angioplasty procedure. It was a routine medical checkup. All my parameters are normal and I have been discharged,” Sawant told TOI from Pune.Late Thursday, Ruby Hall Clinic in a statement said Sawant was admitted to the hospital and “had successfully undergone an angioplasty procedure”.“The intervention was completed without complications, and his condition is currently stable. He is recovering well and remains under close observation,” Dr Purvez Grant, chief cardiologist, chairman and managing trustee, of the hospital said in the statement.On Friday morning, the hospital also clarified that Sawant had undergone only “routine checkup and has been discharged”.
