Nagpur: A 20-year-old girl collided with an ambulance at Gorewada Chowk late Saturday night and ended up being rushed to the hospital in the same vehicle. The incident occurred shortly after the traffic light turned green at the Gorewada Square intersection, when Samruddhi Naidu, riding a moped alone, rammed into the side of the moving ambulance.The ambulance was carrying an eight-month-old infant at the time. The child and other passengers in the ambulance escaped unharmed. Samruddhi, who was wearing a helmet, sustained a fractured hand and head injuries, requiring immediate medical attention, said Gittikhadan police. The ambulance crew assisted her and transported her to the hospital along with the infant.According to Gittikhadan police, no formal complaint has been filed yet. Preliminary findings suggest that the accident occurred due to the girl’s negligence. Officials confirmed that she is undergoing treatment and remains stable. Police said they have not received any update on the condition of the infant as of now.Police are reviewing CCTV footage from the area to verify the exact cause of the collision and to determine whether further legal steps are necessary.
