NEW DELHI: BJP MP Kangana Ranaut on Friday praised RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat‘s interaction with Gen Z and Gen Alpha, saying the country’s youth are emerging as ambassadors of India’s culture and identity.Speaking during the Parliament Monsoon Session, Ranaut told PTI, “Gen Z is the strength of our country and, in a way, a great asset to our nation. We are very happy that our young people are increasingly emerging as ambassadors of our culture and its identity.“She added that she had the opportunity to listen to Bhagwat’s views and benefit from his wisdom and experience.“We have also had the opportunity to listen to Mohan Bhagwat ji, whom we hold in the highest regard, and benefit from his wisdom and experience. It is a matter of great happiness that the country’s youth are connecting with us and embracing our cultural identity,” Ranaut said.Earlier on Thursday, Ranaut reacted to Meta’s apology after removing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Facebook post, saying the development was a result of the committee’s strong stand.“I also belong to the same committee. Nishikant Dubey, our chairman, took a very strong stand and asked for an apology. Along with that, we also expressed concern over how anti-nationals are propagated and promoted. We are happy that they accepted their mistakes,” she said.The remarks came a day after sources said Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg had apologised to the government over concerns related to Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), deepfake content and operational errors on the platform.Meta, which is facing scrutiny over alleged advertisements linked to Child Sexual Exploitative and Abuse Material (CSEAM) following a media report, admitted that illegal content was promoted and paid advertisements were targeted at a specific audience, sources said on Wednesday.(With agency inputs)
