Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) has launched a flood relief drive and prepared 6,000 food packets for people affected by heavy rain and waterlogging across Ahmedabad.The chamber has set up a help desk and partnered with its member organisations, the Robin Hood Army and other voluntary groups to identify and reach affected families in rain-hit areas.Each food packet contains teekhi poori, bataka sabji, and sukhdi. GCCI said the relief campaign will continue for the next two to three days, with more food packets to be prepared depending on demand and the situation across the city.“We are working to ensure that families affected by flooding receive timely food assistance. We will continue the relief drive for the next few days and scale up support wherever required,” said Sandeep Engineer, president, GCCI.
