With just a few days to go for Ganeshotsav, the excitement in Nagpur is hard to miss. In areas like Chitaroli, Rani Durgawati Chowk & Nandanwan, artisans are working tirelessly to shape and perfect Ganpati idols, adding every colour, detail and finishing touches with care. From different sizes and themes to intricate designs and vibrant adornments, every murti is being crafted with a unique look and style.This year, people want to go back to the basics and see their Bappa as a Raja, with a graceful and traditional look. The balancing Ganesha murti, which was a popular trend in Mumbai last year, has also caught people’s attention here. So, this year, I decided to make one myself – Rakesh Pathrabe, Murtikar
