Hosapete (Vijayanagara): Gangavathi MLA Gali Janardhana Reddy on Tuesday strongly criticised chief minister Siddaramaiah, alleging that his continuance in office under the guise of party high command’s instructions has brought the state’s development to a standstill. Speaking at a press conference, on Tuesday, Reddy alleged that as long as Siddaramaiah continued to hold on to the CM post, meaningful development remained impossible. Referring to the Ballari banner incident, the Gangavathi MLA said he had lost confidence in the CID investigation. He stated that he gathered relevant documents related to the case and would approach the high court within the next two days, seeking a probe by the CBI. Reddy also made it clear that he would not relinquish the Gangavathi assembly constituency, which he said marked his political resurgence. Stating that the BJP will form the next govt, Reddy said he has already drawn up development plans for Gangavathi, Hosapete and Hampi. He alleged that earlier proposals could not be implemented due to the state govt’s inaction and assured that these plans will be executed once his party came to power.
