Hyderabad: A four-year-old boy’s eye was gouged out in an attack by stray dogs at Tarakram Nagar in Bhongir district, on Thursday.This incident led locals to stage a protest outside the municipal commissioner’s office in Bhongir town on Thursday night. On Thursday evening, Priyansh was attacked by two stray dogs while he was playing near his home. During the attack, one of the dogs gouged out his right eye. Hearing the boy’s screams, locals rushed to the scene and rescued him. He was immediately taken to the LV Prasad Eye Hospital in the city. Bhongir Urban police told TOI that the boy is out of danger. However, his vision is still at risk. Meanwhile, locals blocked the road and staged a protest outside the municipal commissioner’s office. The protest was only called off after the district administration promised to help the family. Bhongir police said that they had not received any complaints.Local public representatives visited’s the boy’s family at the hospital.
