Bengaluru: Four schoolgirls reportedly fell onto the road after the tailgate of their van accidentally opened up at Gayathri Layout in KR Pura Thursday afternoon. They escaped with minor injuries.Police booked the Maruti Suzuki Omni driver, Sarvesh Kumar, for rash and negligent driving on public ways and under provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act. Investigation revealed that there were no proper documents for the vehicle, and it was not insured.The complaint was filed by Babu JR, administrator of Amara Jyothi School, Basavanapura, in KR Pura.“Sarvesh Kumar was taking around nine schoolchildren back home from Amara Jyothi School. While travelling on 9th Cross around 3.30pm Thursday, the back door of the Omni suddenly opened, throwing the four girls onto the road. However, they escaped with minor scratch injuries. We seek legal action against Sarvesh Kumar for his negligent attitude,” Babu’s complaint stated.
