Mapusa: Four tourists from Odisha sustained injuries early Monday morning after their rented vehicle veered off the road and overturned into a roadside nullah at Anjuna. The self-accident, which occurred during the early hours, caused a brief disruption in traffic as locals rushed to the scene to assist the trapped occupants before emergency services arrived.According to preliminary reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing the car to flip into the concrete drain. While three of the occupants escaped with minor bruises, the fourth suffered a significant shoulder injury and is currently undergoing treatment at a local health centre, police said.Witnesses alleged that the occupants appeared to be in an intoxicated state. Anjuna police have taken cognisance of the matter and are investigating if the driver was under the influence of alcohol.
