Dumka: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) on Friday rescued five people, including four minors, from the 22306 Jasidih – SMVT Bengaluru Express. The rescue operation was carried out following a tip-off received by Ashray, an NGO based in Madhupur.Deepa Kumari, of Ashray said upon receiving the alert, they informed Madhupur RPF team at once. “These children were being taken to a company in Bengaluru for daily-wage work,” she said. The four minors are aged between 14-15 years and are residents of Dumka and Godda districts. The fifth, according to his Aadhaar details, crossed 18 years of age. They had boarded the train on Thursday evening.Vimlendu Biswas, a member of Jamtara district child welfare committee, said the rescued children were handed over to them.
