Thiruvananthapuram: Four persons, including a minor, were arrested for allegedly hurling explosive materials at a house and creating panic at Aryanad.The arrested were Nandan, 22, of R V Puram, Peroorkada, Shamir, 18, of First Line, Peroorkada and Madhav, 19, of Ravi Nagar, Ambalamukku.The case was registered based on a complaint lodged by Anu, a resident of Enchapuri in Kokkottela, Aryanad.According to the police, the incident occurred around 1.30am on Friday when the four-member gang arrived on two scooters and burst crackers on the road in front of the house. Hearing the noise, the homeowner came out onto the first-floor balcony to check. The accused then allegedly hurled explosive materials, which had been kept under the seat of a scooter, towards the front door of the house.Police said the accused also pelted stones and wooden pieces at the house, creating panic. The complainant further alleged that the first accused verbally abused family members and issued death threats when they tried to intervene.Police said the attack stemmed from a previous enmity. Anu had reportedly recorded visuals on his mobile phone after noticing the daughter of a neighbour travelling on a motorcycle with someone. Police said the accused carried out the attack as a resentment over the incident.The accused were later produced before Nedumangad court, which remanded them in judicial custody.
