Pune: Celebrating a birthday by placing a table on a public road and cutting a cake proved costly for a former PMC corporator at Gadital in Yerawada around 1am on Friday. A case has been registered against seven people, including his son.Police constable Baljit Baburao Thorat (40) filed a complaint at the Laxminagar police station. The incident took place on the public road in front of the former corporator’s office.According to the police, the former corporator was to celebrate his birthday on Friday. Firecrackers were also burst around 1am. The complaint states that the corporator’s son and others present at the celebration disturbed public peace and obstructed traffic on the road.
