Nagpur: The Maharashtra Van Karmachari-Adhikari Dakshata Sena will take out a rally in Nagpur on February 28 to press for the regularisation of temporary forest workers and to address allegations of administrative harassment within the forest department.According to the organisation, former minister Sunil Kedar and Ramtek MP Shyamkumar Barve will be present at the event. The organisation claimed that employees from Class II to Class IV in the forest department are experiencing unfair treatment.

Founder-president Sachin Gaikwad said the rally will emphasise the need to regularise over 12,991 temporary forest guards and workers who have been serving for years on low pay and without job security.“Our organisation seeks to provide a strong platform for those who feel they have been mistreated by the department. Many families are dependent on these temporary workers, and it is time for the govt to take notice,” Gaikwad stated.He urged forest workers across Maharashtra to participate in large numbers, emphasising that the movement aims to secure their future and dignity.
