Bhubaneswar: Chief secretary Anu Garg on Tuesday chaired an all-secretaries meeting to review the state’s economic performance, implementation of cabinet decisions and post-flood restoration measures. Officials discussed relief, drainage, embankment repairs and healthcare services in flood-affected areas.Garg thanked officials and Puri administration for the successful conduct of Rath Yatra and directed departments to accelerate restoration work in flood-hit districts. Finance department officials informed the meeting that the state’s revenue collections have improved over last year, while capital expenditure on infrastructure has increased by 20.2% and social sector spending by 16.1%.The meeting also reviewed a 25-project development roadmap for Gajapati district covering tourism, irrigation, drinking water, education and tribal welfare initiatives.
