Guwahati: The death toll in Assam floods rose to 89 after two more bodies were recovered from Sivasagar and Golaghat districts on Tuesday, an ASDMA bulletin read.The statement said 1,22,137 people remained affected across 10 districts, while 15,342.92 hectares of cropland remained under floodwaters.Sivasagar remains the worst-affected district, with 58,702 people impacted, followed by Charaideo with 31,402, Jorhat with 18,795, Golaghat with 6,763 and Dhemaji with 6,475.A total of 12,382 people are currently staying in relief camps, including 10,912 in Sivasagar, 786 in Jorhat and 684 in Dhemaji. The inmates comprised 5,018 men, 4,926 women and 2,402 children, besides 29 pregnant or lactating women and seven persons with disabilities.
