Origin Story
Flonatix is the first skin-care brand rooted in Tropical Asia-Pacific beauty that is built specifically for oily, combination and melanin-rich skin.
Indonesian-born and Washington, D.C.-based Founder Jay Hanggawan spent 2.5 years building Flonatix after moving to the U.S. and realizing nothing on shelves was made for skin like his, a.k.a. skin shaped by humid climates, rich in melanin and chronically underserved by the mainstream beauty industry.
Flonatix’s hero product, the Island Renaissance Glow Up Genius Moisturizer, is a cooling gel-cream centered around mangosteen extract, a Tropical Asia-Pacific superfruit long used in regional skin-care traditions. Every jar is printed in 15 Southeast Asian and Pacific Islander languages, positioning representation as design intent, not afterthought.
