Kolkata: Flipkart Group Chief Executive Officer Kalyan Krishnamurthy on Wednesday met West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari and discussed opportunities to strengthen digital commerce, entrepreneurship and inclusive economic growth in the state, people familiar with the matter said.

The discussions focused on opportunities to partner in supporting MSMEs, artisans, farmers, food processing, startups and skilling, while expanding market access through technology and digital commerce.

In a post on X, Flipkart Group CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy highlighted the “constructive discussion on West Bengal’s growth agenda and the state’s immense potential to emerge as a leading hub for digital commerce, entrepreneurship and employment generation.”

The West Bengal Chief Minister’s Office posted on X: “Today, Hon’ble CM of West Bengal, Shri Suvendu Adhikari, held a cordial interaction with @Flipkart CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy @_Kalyan_K, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Rajneesh Kumar @rajneeeshkumar and other senior executives on issues concerning e-commerce and allied sectors at Nabanna.”
