Patna: Five people, including a husband and wife, were killed in a head-on collision between two motorcycles in Madhubani district on Saturday. Police said one of the riders was overtaking when he crashed into an oncoming bike.The deceased were identified as Rahmatullah alias Rajan, 38, his wife Rukhsar Khatoon, 34, and Sachin Kumar, 18, Sujit Kumar, 18, and Karan Kumar, 18.Rahmatullah and Rukhsar were travelling to Ladania, Rukhsar’s parental village, to consult a doctor. The three youths were heading to Jainagar to catch a train.Sachin died on the spot, while Sujit and Karan succumbed to injuries during treatment at DMCH, Darbhanga.“The bodies were handed over to families after completing necessary paperwork,” Ladania SHO Anup Kumar said.
